August 2010 - It is now possible to go out deep sea fishing straight from our lodge. David of Deep Sea Fishing Zanzibar http://www.deep-sea-fishing-tanzania.com will bring one of his two well equipped boats in front of the lodge and pick you up for an exciting day hunting for bill fish, yellow fin tuna, wahoo and many others. June 2010 - We now offer spa treatment in your villa. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays a professional masseuse comes to the lodge. You can sign up for this in reception.
June 2010 - Following a change of bank we can no longer accept American Express. We continue to accept Visa and Mastercard.
March 2010 - Starting March 1, 2010 we have taken on all the water activities ourselves and ended the cooperation with One Ocean. Under the name of UNGUJA DIVERS we welcome you to come dive with us or explore the Menai Bay conservation area on one of our boats.
September 2009 - We just added an interesting link under the design button. Our architect Ivan Sutila created a picasaweb collection of foto's and drawings of the design and building phases of Unguja Lodge. You can find the floorplan of your own villa!
August 2009 - Since last week we have regularly seen humpback whales: a mother and a baby are swimming by frequently.
Also: the guests in villa 9 were visited by three bush babies last night. So far we had only seen one.
We already had a lot of animals on our site but we have always hoped for one particular species....chameleons. We are very happy that this year for the first time we have them in our gardens.
